3 Things We Learned about Nashville at Connect Live during Summer NAMM

During Summer NAMM, our Connect Live team had the chance to check out Nashville and learn more about Music City, USA. The consensus? It’s a pretty sweet place filled with talented and inspirational audio aficionados. Our product expert and resident DJ, Greg Chin, gave us the lowdown on what’s keeping this city ahead of the curve.

Three things we learned about Nashville at Avid Connect Live during Summer NAMM 2019, including our Avid S4, Avid S1, and AvidPlay product announcements.

  1. Nashville is growing by leaps and bounds. Studios and facilities are adopting Dolby Atmos—building out both existing and new spaces—to meet the demand for dynamic immersive technology. We’ve double-downed on immersive sound innovation; an important part of Pro Tools | Ultimate and the Dolby Atmos workflow we continue to improve and scale to fit studios of all sizes.

  1. The city continues to expand its musical horizons. Originally known as the hub for country music around the world, the well-known “Music City, USA” continues to attract musicians and producers of ALL genres. Nashville has evolved into a diverse and interconnected community of artists who are leading the music and audio industry into the future. Oh, and they’re joining the Avid Link community to keep the conversation going – which is open to anyone who wants to collaborate, learn and grow within this fast-paced industry.

  1. People are embracing and celebrating our new innovations. While in Nashville, we announced our new products and solutions—the Avid S4, Avid S1, and the brand new AvidPlay music distribution platform— live from Belmont University. The buzz on the street was overwhelmingly positive, and our on-site training sessions in Nashville were sold out in a matter of days. We think our visit was a win.

Greg also made a point to mention that “the BBQ battle between Martins and Edleys rages on…”. Can’t argue with that!
