Today’s education models are changing in exciting ways. eLearning content has changed classroom dynamics and given aspiring professionals everywhere the opportunity to learn on their own terms. Students anywhere can take courses remotely—with content that offers increased retention rates to supplement traditional classroom lectures.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with LinkedIn to provide official Media Composer, Pro Tools, and Sibelius content through the leaders in online education: Lynda.com and LinkedIn Learning. Now students, instructors, and education institutions everywhere can get high-quality online training for industry-leading creative software from Avid.

An Exciting Way to Learn

Students can learn how to get started with the industry’s most powerful creative tools, and get insight to proven workflows. Get inspired to compose breathtaking scores, tell their most compelling stories, or mix their first music project. All through fun and engaging step-by-step video courses. The content is aligned with official Avid coursework, and provides an excellent way to work towards Avid certification in a flexible, self-paced environment.

A New Way to Teach

For educational institutions, the Avid and LinkedIn alliance will make it easy to develop hybrid learning models. Schools can prepare students for a career in media production with a combination of online and instructor-led training. Professors can assign lecture-style courses for students to take at home through the new online content, and offer more engaging hands-on experience in the classroom.

We’re showcasing this new blended format for the first time this week at the Broadcast Education Association Convention at NAB 2017. Educators from around the world have signed up for our free—and now sold out—Avid Educator Workshop for Media Composer, which includes new self-paced online content and a 2-day instructor-led classroom experience designed to help attendees achieve certification as an Avid Certified Instructor.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to teach, and to learn media production. With Avid and LinkedIn, students and educators can master Avid software in all new ways. To learn more, head over to LinkedIn Learning or Lynda.com—or visit us at NAB Booth #SU902.
