In our everyday listening experiences, some of the most memorable compositions inspire and entertain us because, at their hearts, they recall classic recordings – immortal music that everyone knows. With brand new features in Pro Tools 12.7 that make it easier than ever for users to browse and audition music as they create and collaborate, it could not be a better time to partner with BMG to give these users access to classic recordings from BMG’s unrivaled collection. That’s why we’re working together to offer custom packages of some of the world’s best-known classic recordings to Avid Marketplace. The tracks and samples work seamlessly with Soundbase, a new feature in Pro Tools 12.7 that makes it effortless to browse and audition audio content, then quickly incorporate it into your projects.
The work being done by Avid and BMG is an important part of Avid’s mission to make it easier for composers, producers, and engineers to create and share the world’s best mixes, taking advantage of Avid Marketplace for access to a large and fast-growing repository of tools and content, then using the resources in Avid Artist Community to reach a global network of services to get their music refined, exposed, published and sold. At the 2017 NAMM Show, we’ll be featuring some of this fantastic music from artists from the catalogs of BMG, including gems from Strictly Rhythm. From there, we look forward to curating additional collections and making them available a click away to inspire and to plant the seeds of the very best audio productions. Whether a Pro Tools user is working independently or collaborating using Avid Cloud Collaboration, the new BMG collections work together with Pro Tools 12.7 and Soundbase to make audio production fast, fun and free of interruption. With tracks from legendary artists including Erick Morillo, Reel 2 Real, Barbara Tucker, Armand Van Helden, Wamdue Project, Phuture, Sir James, Black Magic and more, there’s something to inspire everyone.
“Our partnership with Avid has been an important step in expanding our initiatives and ideas.” Remarks Sarah Martinico of BMG. “ The support from the team has not only been very informative but passionate. The inspiration behind this project was to bring the classic songs back to the producers in a more convenient and accessible way. I work with BMG producers and writers to bring them ideas for their upcoming projects. Whether we help by providing them with stems or a capellas, we strive to inspire and to learn from numerous amazing artists.”
