IBC 2014: Media Mogul Robert Rodriguez Has Advice for Young Filmmakers at the IBC Show

By in The A-List, Video Editing

Not just an A-list director, Robert Rodriguez is truly a renaissance man, serving as screenwriter, editor, producer, cinematographer, and composer for many of his own films. In 2000, he founded his own Troublemaker Studios production facility in Austin, Texas, giving him the ability to grow as a filmmaker while remaining fiercely independent of the studio system. In December 2013, Rodriguez added another credit to his already impressive résumé as the founder and chairman of the new cable TV network El Rey.

In our exclusive live interview at IBC 2014, the acclaimed filmmaker joined Avid’s Matt Feury in conversation to discuss his career and the role Avid creative tools have played in his evolution into becoming one of the most dynamic figures working in media today.
