Organized by the European Broadcasting Union, the Junior Eurovision Song Content (JESC) has been providing a unique platform for young artists across Europe since 2003.
Lead sound engineer Arturo Pellegrini with parallel S6L systems supplied by DAB Electronica, each connected to a Stage 64 I/O rack loaded with 64 input channels and a Waves SoundGrid server over MADI. Pellegrini managed all the audio production requirements together with Malta-based BESTEAM Audio—he also mixed the musical performances for broadcast.
Dual VENUE | Profile systems were used to mix FOH and monitors for the concert.
“Switching to the VENUE | S6L was a completely natural step. After years of using several different digital consoles of considerable sizes, I knew what I could achieve from the S6L the moment I saw it. The S6L console makes my life easier on every project. Firstly, the surface can be fully customized, so I can have an eye on everything that I need and remove anything else that is not required. Virtual Soundcheck was one of the features that I loved in the Profile series and which was made even better in the S6L. But I think that it is the audio quality of the S6L that makes it unique in the market. The sound produced by the S6L is simply exceptional.”
