Introducing the New ACA Structure

The Avid Customer Association (ACA) structure provides a framework to solve the industry’s most important issues. The Executive Board of Directors is charged with oversight of the ACA community, where there are Advisory Councils in focused areas, from strategy to service and delivery to products and services. Additionally, several of the advisory councils have created Ad Hoc Committees to dive deeper into important issues and opportunities.

Roughly 150 industry professionals serve in leadership roles on the Board and Advisory Councils, inclusive of industry professionals and visionaries who represent the greater Avid community and are dedicated to providing impactful feedback.

At the ACA Executive Board Meeting this past April during Avid Connect, several changes were made to the Advisory Council structure, to ensure alignment with the needs of the community and the exciting momentum of the MediaCentral Platform. These changes include:

• The dissolution of the Community and Standards & Practices Advisory Councils. Leaders from each of these Councils have been aligned with either the Products & Solutions Advisory Council or the newly formed Technology Advisory Council, based on their background, experience and preference.

• The creation of the Technology Advisory Council that is sponsored by Rashid Desai, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Avid and managed by Shailendra Mathur, VP of Architecture, Avid, and is chaired by ACA Leader Jeff Sengpiehl, Chief Engineer, Chainsaw Edit.

• The creation of Graphics Sub Committee, which is a branch of the Products & Solutions Advisory Council.

We encourage you to login to the ACA Portal or register to join the ACA to:

• Network with Avid and the rest of the community

• Help identify industry trends and challenges

• Provide feedback to include the future of Avid

• Find multiple resources that are exclusive to ACA Members
